how to delete apps on samsung smart tv

[QUESTION] YouTube Vanced for Samsung smart TV?

Not sure if it was asked before but Is it possible and if so, how? Thanks.

I tried pihole before but I think it has trouble with YouTube ads since they are served from the same DNS records. Vanced on mobile and ublock on PC are the only things that block YT ads for me.

smartyoutubetv.github.io/ I use it on a fire stick and is pretty much the same as Vance but on my TV. My TV has Roku but I never use it. I prefer the fire stick. Kodi and SmartYoutTubeTV are the 2 main apps I installed

Can't you just cast from the app? I don't think I get ads that way. Or maybe k just don't use it enough to notice

I think it doesn't work that way. You will be casting videos from your Vanced App and once the video is on TV, YouTube app on TV will take over and show ads like always.

Just screenshare from your phone, instead of casting. "Smartview" app on samsung devices

While you are able to sideload it to an Android TV. Samsung doesn't use Android as their TV os (I think it's Tizen but not sure). Even if you could the layout would be the same as it is now. You would need a version of Vanced designed for TVs in mind which doesn't exist.

I've a Samsung smart TV and a Raspberry Pi Zero with PiHole. I could never get around the ads on the Samsung T.V. and ended up using a Minix Android box with Vanced for peace of viewing

Why would you do that? Just open a browser on the TV as a second monitor with adblock.. way less resources used and less complicated overall

Try casting vanced to your TV. Works for me ad free on my Roku.

Could be something to do with rokus youtube app. I get ads when I cast to youtube on my ps4

You can try setting up a PiHole or using AdGuard's DNS. The latter is easier and simple to use.
